Call for Volunteers! Heart Screenings at WV on April 20th
Reported by email@example.com on 2/2/17.
For several years now, the IPEF, Edward-Elmhurst Health and Indian Prairie School District have partnered together to bring Young Hearts for Life to our campus in an effort to screen students for potential heart rhythm irregularities. This year, on April 20th, during PE/Health classes students will again have a screening opportunity. These heart screenings are quick, painless, and free of charge and we encourage every student to be a part of this effort. Students will continue to receive more information regarding this effort via announcements, The Beat and Warrior Update. To register your child for this free screening now, please CLICK HERE.
If you are new to this program, please know that WV, IPSD, IPEF and Edward-Elmhurst Health are extremely proud to provide this screening to our students. This program SAVES LIVES! TRULY!
To volunteer to assist with this day of screening, please CLICK HERE. Historically, Waubonsie has screened up to 1,800 students in one day. This takes volunteers. Our goal this year is to screen 75% of our student body. This equates to 1,917 students and 115 full day volunteers are needed for us to meet our goal. Clicking the link above will give full details on the time commitment for volunteering. WE CAN DO THIS!
Please watch for continued communication as we look to sign students up for this outstanding service.
