10th Annual Explore Engineering Night Friday, November 10th at College of DuPage
Reported by email@example.com on 9/28/17.
The 10th Annual Explore Engineering Night is on Friday, November 10th at College of DuPage. This event is designed to introduce students to the different majors and learn what an engineer does on the job. It will be a great experience for your students who are thinking about pursuing engineering after high school. There is no cost to attend.
The format for the evening…Opening presentation on the engineering field to inform your students about the different majors and how they relate to the courses they are taking now in high school (chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, and economics).
Second presentation will be interactive with the audience with the goal to help them see how an engineer thinks and sees how the world around them was designed.
Breakout Session where students can see the university representatives give a presentation on their programs, student organizations, societies, and life on campus.
At the event, we will also have deans, engineering professors, and representatives from the major universities in the area that offer an engineering program. Students will be able to speak with each of these schools, ask questions and gather information about their engineering programs. The schools that are in attendance include: Bradley University, Illinois Institute of Technology, Northern Illinois University, Northwestern University, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, University of Illinois Chicago, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Attached is a flyer about the event.
Although it is not required, an R.S.V.P. is appreciated. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (630) 942-3059 by Nov. 6.
