Welcome to the Owen Elementary PTA Homepage! We are looking forward to a great year of learning and fun for our kids. Our PTA serves to enhance educational environment of our school. We fund and organize a variety of educational enrichment programs, social events and community service projects for ALL students at Owen. Additionally, we support our teachers and staff with hospitality throughout the year. We invite you to be involved! Whether you have a little time or a lot, whether you work a full-time job or are a stay-at-home parent, there is something for everyone. Welcome to our New 2023-24 Owen PTA Board: In addition to the new principal (Heather Whisler) and new Student Services Coordinator (Michelle Hebenstreit) for next year, the Owen PTA has elected a new PTA Board. The 2023-24 Owen PTA Board is:

All PTA programs are 100% run by non-paid family/staff/community volunteers. In order to enhance your student's Owen experience, we need your help to make these programs happen! For a list of all programs we have / hope to have at Owen who need volunteers, click here: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Indoor Recess Bags Donation Collection: On rainy days like today our students may spend recess in their classrooms. The Owen PTA wants to help keep our kids entertained indoors by assembling 12 total "Indoor Recess Bags" full of board games, card games, puzzles, building toys, crafts, puzzle books, stem sets, movement/fidget Items, etc. for Grades K/1, 2/3 and 4/5. We have purchased and collected many items, but still need your help! If you have any new or gently used items from our Google Sheet of Staff-Approved Ideas that your kids are no longer using that you'd like to donate, you can drop them off at 1448 Westglen Dr (Npv) or 1168 Stonehaven (Aur) or email us at owenelementarypta@gmail.com to make other arrangements. We are especially looking for items for older grades and the following:
Card Games: Go Fish, Old Maid, Guess in 10, Uno, Regular Deck of Cards
Craft Items: Construction or Rainbow Scratch Paper, Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils, Coloring Books (youth/adult), Straws, popsicle sticks, Colored/Decorative tape, beads/string, Magna Doodle, Spirograph Set(s), Origami Kits/Paper, etc.
Building Toys: Legos, Lincoln Logs, Stacking Cups, Brain Flakes, Straw Connector Toys, etc.
Puzzle Books: Hidden Picture, Mad Libs, Joke Books, Word Search, Sudoku, Logic Puzzles, etc.
Stem Sets: Snap Circuits, The Genius Square, etc.
Movement Games: Portable Cornhole, Sticky Dart Board, Hacky Sacks, 3 in 1 Carnival/Hide the Flag Game, Ring Toss Game, Rubik's Cube, Fidgets
Storage Containers: We have large, clear bedding bags we will be putting items in, but are looking for smaller, storage containers (with tight lids) to put some of our building toys / games with small pieces in.
