Our mission of "Music for All Children" is to:

	Create a musically rich environment
	Help children understand the language of music
	Develop an awareness of the quality of the arts
	Foster a life-long interest in the arts
	Teach children to work in collaboration with others
	Show students how all of the elements and details make up the expressive whole
	Teach children to be self-evaluative and how to handle frustration and failure in the pursuit of their goals.
	Evaluate music through higher level thinking skills such as categorizing, classifying, and synthesizing.

Music is the universal language of the world and therefore is to be made available to all children.

Music is an educational priority because we realize that the arts are essential in a balanced curriculum.

Music tells us what it means to be human. As students learn to be receptive to the music of others, they learn to be compassionate people.

Music promotes unique ways of learning and combines different kinds of intelligence. Just as the real world is not simple black or white absolutes, the power of the arts fosters interpretation, creativity, and expression.
