1,2,3,4 - WE DECLARE A PENNY WAR… Please support IPEF and Welch Elementary School by participating in a penny war that will take place for one more week! We had an AMAZING and competitive first week :), and will have the winning grade level to announce on Monday morning from the first week! Each grade level will have their own jug for collecting money in the LMC. Grade levels can GAIN points by adding pennies and bills to their jug and can LOWER other grade level totals by adding silver coins to their jugs. The grade with the most “points” at the end of the week will win a prize! Please see attached flyer for more information!

ORANGE RULER IS COMING… Our big Fall Fundraiser, the Orange Ruler Fun Run, is almost here! This program will last for approximately two weeks beginning with our kick-off assembly on 09/18/2018. The Orange Ruler team has put together a fun-filled experience for our children and school that focuses on teamwork, staying active and believing in yourself. This important program will help us raise needed funds that will be used for all the great events and support that our PTA provides for the Welch community including the following: LMC improvements and technology, classroom enhancement materials, STEM Fair, Cultural Night, classroom parties, popcorn for White Tiger Wednesdays, a school wide dance and much more. ** Please be on the lookout for the Orange Ruler parent letter and donation envelope which will be coming home with your child on Tuesday, the day of the kick-off assembly. We ask that all Welch White Tigers wear orange on Tuesday! We look forward to working together with you to help make this one of the most successful fundraisers our school has ever had. Thank you!

PORTILLO’S… Support IPEF and Welch Elementary School by purchasing Portillo’s on Monday, September 17th. Between 5:00 - 8:00 PM 20% of all proceeds will go to the IPEF and Welch Elementary School. Customers must show the attached flyer and must tell the first employee they come in contact with that they are there to support Welch to ensure we get the proceeds. Please see attachment for more information.

STUDENT SAFETY… Student safety is our number one priority. To ensure that our students get to and from school safely, please ensure that everyone is following the procedures below:

We ask that ALL students and staff utilize the city identified crosswalks when crossing the streets.

We ask that parents who park and meet students at one of the walker doors park in a legal spot. Please note signs in courts and in areas of the streets surrounding the school that are “No Parking” areas. The Naperville Police Department has asked us to reach out to our families for their assistance on this.

Please do not park in the faculty lot and walk to retrieve your student. It is unsafe for students or parents to walk through the car dismissal line.

Thank you for your cooperation!
