Parent Teacher Conferences

Reported by on 10/5/18

Dear Scullen Families,

Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, November 1 from 4:30-8:00 PM and Monday, November 5 from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM and 4:30-8:00 PM. District 204 will again be utilizing PowerPTC to schedule conferences. The scheduling window will open to parents on Monday, October 15 at 10:00 AM, and it will close on Monday, October 29 at 12:00 AM.

Middle school conferences take place in a team setting, which means that all of your child’s core teachers will be present during the scheduled conference time. Please note that PowerPTC will only allow parents to schedule a conference with one core teacher, but rest assured, all core teachers will be present at the conference. For your reference, teams and the designated scheduling teacher for each team are listed below.

Team 6-0: Ann Ketcherside
Team 6-1: Lindsay McCoy
Team 6-2: Rhonda Dellinger
Team 7-0: Victor Low/Aaron Mueller
Team 7-1: Steve Correll
Team 7-2: Daniela Palumbo
Team 8-0: Marcus Fredericks/Daniel Sandine
Team 8-1: Bethany Parker
Team 8-2: Jennifer Albert

Team 7-0 and Team 8-0 Parents: You will have the option of scheduling with one of two teachers. This is an either/or situation. You should choose ONE of the teachers when scheduling your conference. This will still allow you to visit with the entire team. Parents who schedule with two teachers will be removed from one of the appointments.

If your child is enrolled in Strategic Reading, you will be able to schedule a separate conference with your child’s Strategic Reading teacher. Encore teachers will be available in the cafeteria throughout the night. No appointment is needed to see your child’s encore teachers. You can do this before or after your scheduled core team conference.

This year, parents will access PowerPTC by logging into their HAC account. I have attached directions and screenshots to this email. Middle school conference slots will fill up. Therefore, in preparation for registration day, please ensure that you can easily login to your HAC account. If you are a district employee and your HAC credentials are attached to your district email address, you will need to attach them to a private email address to be able to access PowerPTC. If you are having difficulty logging into HAC, please contact Terri King in the Scullen guidance office: 630-428-7010.
