PTA Newsflash 10.31.18

Reported by on 10/31/18

THANK YOU ~ THANK YOU ~ THANK YOU! We finished off our Fall Fundraiser in style with last Friday, October 26th being our service event consisting of 8 Stations of Kindness. In the quick relay like atmosphere, the students partners together to create thank you signs for our police department, fire departments, assisted living/elder care facility, planted flowers for Clow’s internal courtyard, decorated a “band-aid person” sign for our Support Staff, helped the custodial staff by wiping down the playground, decorated bags for our nurse, office staff and bus drivers, and gave encouraging words and cheers to fellow Cougars. It was an inspiring time and so awesome to see all the students working hand in hand to create something that gives back to our community. A big thank you to those volunteers who helped on Friday to make the stations run smoothly. We could not have done it without you!

We had an exciting two weeks and hope your Cougars came home telling you all about the mini-lessons in leadership. Over the course of 6 lessons, the students went over the attributes of Selflessness, Trustworthiness, Refueling, Overcoming, Next Level, and Gratefulness. Our Cougars were officially deemed STRONG leaders with the culmination of the lessons. We hope this program brought great conversations to the dinner table or carpools, and that the lessons learned will continue strong throughout their endeavors. Final numbers will be posted next week once all the online pledges are accounted. All in all – a successful event.
