Police in Scullen Neighborhood

Reported by on 11/16/18

UPDATE POSTED 2:12 pm, November 16, 2018

This is principal Leslie Mitchell following up with a message for Scullen Middle School parents. As a result of a neighborhood situation near Scullen Middle School, police have restricted travel near our school. Police have asked us to dismiss bus riders first. Parents picking up students in cars will be delayed entrance until all of the buses have cleared the lot.

Please know that all of our students are safe and there is no threat to any of our students or staff. Thank you for your patience during our dismissal this afternoon.

We have been informed of a situation in the Scullen Middle School community requiring a large police presence on the corner of 103rd and Helene. This situation does not involve our school. Because this is in our neighborhood, the Naperville Police Department has asked that we secure our building. This means that no one will be allowed to enter or exit the building until we have been given the all clear. All students and staff members are safe and classes are continuing as normal.
