Former Still Middle School Student Makes Her Mark
Reported by email@example.com on 10/25/19
As Still Middle School celebrates 20 years of spirit, community, and excellence, one former student found a way to embody those values through her art.
Elliah Chamberlain, a former Still student, dedicated over 80 hours this past summer to painting a mural on Still’s library media center circulation desk. Chamberlain, currently a freshman at Waubonsie Valley High School, designed the mural from start to finish, beginning with scaled pencil drawings. The entire piece is over 22 feet in length, and was handpainted to feature characters from important or popular books. Elliah credits Mrs. Davis, Still’s art teacher, with inspiring her to be thoughtful and fearless in creating and sharing her art.
