Inspire all students to achieve their greatest potential
World Read Aloud Day 2020
Reported by jill_defarno@ipsd.org on 2/6/20
On February 5th Builta Badgers celebrated World Read Aloud Day with students all over the world. LitWorld founded World Read Aloud Day in 2010 as an opportunity for people all around the globe to celebrate the joy of reading aloud, and advocate for literacy as a fundamental human right that belongs to everyone. To celebrate many students came to school dressed as a book character and came to the LMC for a story and activities. Students added a book with their name to a world map illustrating that Badgers have read all over the world. They also were given pictures and shared story starters for several pictures. The kindergarten classes ended their WRAD celebration with some dancing. At the end of the day classes read other classes responses to a funny prompt.
