Senator Ellman Event
Reported by firstname.lastname@example.org on 2/26/20
Please see the below for information with families who might be interested in attending this event in Naperville. This will be focusing on concerns regarding supports available for individuals with disabilities in Illinois.
State Senator Laura Ellman & staff have agreed to a meeting on 2/22 (details below) to talk about the concerns we have about supportive services for our children/teens/young adults/adults in Illinois. Please know that Senator Ellman and her staff have been very responsive and accessible and we look forward to having a productive meeting with them.
Senator Ellman is not available on a weekday, in the near future, so we made the decision to host the meeting on a Saturday. We know that this will not be ideal for everyone but we believe that getting the conversation started is essential.
Details: Please join us on Saturday, Feburary 22, 2020 from 10:30am-noon at RUAH Center, Naperville ~ a red-brick building on the NE corner of 11th Avenue & Washington Street. The building is just west of Beebe Elementary School and, since it's a weekend, you may park in their parking lot OR along 11th Avenue. (ACE Hardware, another landmark, is across the street to the south.)
The meeting will take place in the Conference Room located on the lower level.
For those who cannot attend, we will, to the best of our ability, be sure that you receive a key-point, summary of the conversation, if you desire one. If you CANNOT attend and would like to share a concern or ask a question, please respond to this email/message and we will be sure to bring it to the conversation. You may also communicate to us at these email addresses: email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org"
