This is the comprehensive email for the Swim Meet next Thursday (March 5th) @ Metea Valley High School. Attached to this email you will find the following: Athlete event information in alphabetical order (by first name), a map of parking information, the overall order of events produced by Special Olympics (this doesn't include specific times). Please continue reading for additional important information.
Please arrive between 8-8:30 AM. Please bring students directly to the swim meet. There will be no parking at Metea Valley this year. There will be a shuttle from the near by lot. Additional details are below. Please plan for time accordingly. Opening ceremonies will be held at 8:40. Please come to the gym and we will stake out an area so we can all remain together. Athletes are welcome to bring games/snacks to pass the time for the day. Lunch will be provided and will be from 11-1. STEPS is not expecting to give anybody rides. Athlete events will run throughout the day. The meet should be over by 2:20. You can take your athlete home after their events if you'd like.
I'd also just like to mention a couple of reminders. Please remember a towel! Also, swim shirts are not allowed for the actual meet per SO rules. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
