Upcoming PTSA Meeting News

Reported by on 3/2/20

As this weeks meeting approaches, please see the letter below and the attachments from the STEPS-PTSA. The meeting will be held this Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in the BFC LMC. Please join us for a great meeting!

Dear STEPS Community,
We are contacting you as the nominating committee for the STEPS PTSA. We are currently looking for people who are interested in being on the board for the 2020-21 school year. No experience is required for any position. There is a requirement of being a PTA/PTSA member to be nominated. As long as dues are paid, you are a member of the PTA/PTSA at the school that your child attends.
Here are the elected positions:
President or Co-Presidents - oversees the PTSA, runs the meetings, communicates with steps administration.
1st and 2nd VP - takes over if president is not available, helps the president.
Secretaries (Corresponding/Recording) - Recording takes minutes at the meetings and keeps important documents. Corresponding - writes thank you cards and/or letters. He/She is also our membership chair. He/She enters all of our members in the database and makes sure our dues are paid.
Treasurer - keeps the financial records, writes checks. We operate on a very small budget. We probably don't write out more than 10 -15 checks a year. You don't have to be a CPA. Mom math is fine.
Nominees will be shared at the March 4th PTSA meeting. The list of nominees will be posted at STEPS. Information regarding the exact location will be sent after the March 4th meeting. The final vote will take place at our last PTSA meeting on May 6, 2020.
If interested please contact Alison Razo or 630-975-0107, Judy Lewis or 630-200-5416, or Cheryl O'Connell or 630-888-5966 by February 28th or self nominate at the March 4th PTSA meeting.
Thank you from the nominating committee,
Alison Razo, Judy Lewis and Cheryl O'Connell
