Remote Learning Begins April 7th
Reported by firstname.lastname@example.org on 4/6/20
I hope that you all had a restful and relaxing spring break. I know that our last few weeks have been anything but routine and I want to sincerely thank you all for your efforts in supporting your child’s connection to Hill Middle School. I am very thankful to have such a dedicated and committed group of students, parents and staff as we navigate an entirely new way of learning.
On Friday April 3rd, you received an email from Dr. Sullivan that outlined our district’s move towards remote learning. Please be sure that you have read through this information and are aware of the changes that will begin tomorrow (April 7th). All current and prior announcements can be found at www.ipsd.org.
Below are a few tips and reminders for our Hill families as we transition back from Spring Break and into remote learning.
Teachers will post daily assignments for students in Google classroom. Parents can view the assigned coursework by accessing the Hill Team sites. This is the same location that we have used over the course of the school year to post daily homework. https://sites.google.com/ipsd.org/hillteamsites/home
While formal attendance will not be taken, student participation and completion of assignments is expected. Assignments will be graded for middle school students.
Your child’s teacher or a school administrator will reach out to see if support is needed if a student is not participating
We encourage parents to reach out to our staff if you have any questions. Email is the fastest and most efficient method for reaching staff while remote learning is in session.
Students are recommended to use google classroom and their district Gmail account to communicate with their teachers directly. Students should be checking their email accounts daily for any individual communication from our staff.
