Residency Verification Process
Reported by email@example.com on 5/1/20
The district is again contracting with a third-party vendor to verify student address information automatically. As was the case last year, we anticipate the overwhelming majority of our families will be electronically verified.
If your residency is electronically verified, you will receive an email with an attached letter of confirmation, and you will not need to submit any additional paperwork to certify that you live within the district’s boundaries.
If we are unable to verify your residency electronically, you will receive an email with an attached letter. The letter will provide details on additional information that is required to register your child for the upcoming school year. You will need to provide these materials during the online registration process beginning June 8, 2020 in order to complete registration.
Verifying residency is an effort to protect taxpayers and district resources by identifying non-residents attending District 204 schools. Illinois law mandates that parents demonstrate residency before enrollment in school and allows for periodic verification to validate compliance with the law.
