News From the Nest - May 1st
Reported by firstname.lastname@example.org on 5/4/20
Dear Graham Families,
I look forward to seeing everyone in the Graham School Video next week. Thank you to everyone who sent in pictures for the #inthistogetherGraham video. The participation has been wonderful. A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Stone for the thought behind it and putting it all together.
This year we were unable to hold our Kindergarten Information Night. If you have a child who is entering kindergarten this upcoming fall, please look on the Graham website for a video and presentation of the Kindergarten program. Please pass onto any neighbors who have potential kindergartners this information. You can go to the Graham website at www.graham.org to access the presentation. If you have any questions, please email: email@example.com.
One of our Graham traditions is to have an end of the year countdown. This year we would like to do a five-day countdown and have students show their spirit during their class Zoom meetings. To help students stay focused, the spirit days will be on Fridays until the last two days of school.
Thank you for supporting our efforts in keeping this tradition.

Thank a Staff Member:
The Indian Prairie Parents’ Council is offering parents the opportunity to say thank you to staff members with a special program that also supports the district’s low-income students. From now through May 8, parents can purchase a gift card to a local business as a way of celebrating a staff member and to say thank you for their efforts this year.
Each $25 purchase includes a $20 gift card of your choice and a $5 donation to IPPC’s annual school supply drive that provides school supplies to students in need. Parents can include a special note of thanks with each purchase. Gift cards will be delivered to staff members as soon as it is safe to do so.
To participate, please visit https://ippccouncil.memberhub.store/.
Update on the Kane County Cougars Game Refund:
A big thank you to all the students that celebrated reading by independently reading at school and home and to all the families that ordered tickets to the Kane County Cougars Graham game. The district administration is aware that this event has been canceled, and we are working on refunding the money to all the parents and families that paid for tickets. Thank you for supporting the reading and the Graham LMC programs. ~Mrs. Shiles
We know these are tough times. The staff and I want to thank you for the support you have given us, as we’ve learned a new way to deliver instruction. Today, I watched a kindergarten class on Zoom. It was the highlight of my week! I’m so proud of our students and teachers. Our teachers made changes and adjustments in a very short amount of time and you all made them with us. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any member of the Graham staff if you have questions, need help figuring something out, or if we can be of assistance in any way.
I hope everyone has a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.
Stay strong and stay healthy,
