Weekly Message - October 26, 2020
Reported by firstname.lastname@example.org on 10/26/20
Hello Spring Brook Parents –
On Monday, November 9th, we want to provide you an opportunity to pick up instructional materials that your child will need for the months of November and December.
If your child is in Kindergarten, First and/or Second Grade, you will just need to have the grade level displayed on your car window.
If your child is in Third, Fourth and/or Fifth Grade, you will need to have the grade level and math class displayed. If they are in accelerated math, please display AC for accelerated math.
Use the first letter of your child’s last name to find the scheduled time for your pick-up on November 9th. If your children have different last names (from one another) please choose the earlier time. If you cannot make your assigned time, you can come during another time slot.
Parents will need to drive to the school to maintain social distancing. If you are out of town and unable to pick up your student’s supplies, you may arrange for a neighbor to pick up their belongings. Please also have your friend or neighbor have a sign in the car window, listing the grade level and math class (if they are in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade).
In the interest of safety for you and for our staff, we ask that you follow these procedures when you arrive for your scheduled pick up time:
Please come alone if possible. We ask that children do not come. While we hope the schedule alleviates long lines, there may be some waiting as we load cars. Also, classroom teachers will not be at the school for students to see.
Similar to our car pickup window signs, please CREATE a new sign (8 ½ x 11 paper size) with your child(ren)’s grade level and math class (if they are in grades 3 and/or 5). If your child is in math acceleration, please display AC for math acceleration.
Place your sign on the passenger side window, visible to staff.
Drivers should turn on their hazard flashers while they are in line.
Once your car has reached the designated spot, please open the trunk and/or unlock your side door. DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR VEHICLE. A staff member will place your child’s items in your trunk.

Parent University: Google Classroom
Have you ever wondered how your child uses Google Classroom? Take a look inside the online classroom during “Parent University: Google Classroom,” at 7 pm on Monday, October 26. This event will be streamed live on the district's YouTube channel. PTA Fall Fundraiser - Still Accepting Orders through 10/28
Thank you to those who have registered their students and/or placed orders for the PTA fall fundraiser. There is still time this week to register and submit online orders through Boon Supply or AP Magazines through Wednesday, October 28th. We would love to get a little closer to our goal if possible!
What you can do to help:
Register your student online through the Boon Supply and AP Magazines website
Boon Supply Registration School Code: 1099527
AP Magazines Registration School Code: SBEPTA
Share the link through email, text, Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media you use! This is a great opportunity for distant family and friends that want to help!
Use the Boost 10 email tool on your Boon Supply dashboard to participate and help your child's teacher earn credit to spend at Boon Supply. Students earn a prize just for sending the emails too!
We know there is a lot going on, but if you can take a few minutes to just register your students and send a few emails, you never know who might want to help out. If you have any questions about the fundraiser, please contact Tiffany Malik (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Thank you to Spring Brook's amazing staff and parents for your support!
