Metea Valley Theatre's Fall Play: The War of the Worlds

It is with great pride and pleasure to present to you Metea Valley Theater's Fall Play and First ever REMOTE Radio Production: The War of the Worlds!
The show was originally broadcast from New York's Mercury Theatre in 1938, and this infamous radio play, based on the novel by H. G. Wells, had many terrified listeners convinced that an actual alien invasion of Earth was taking place. Adapted by Howard E. Koch, co-writer of Casablanca, and directed and narrated by Orson Welles, this original script detailing the frightening tale of an extraterrestrial takeover is now available to bring to life onstage to thrill and chill audiences.
Starting out this year we were not entirely certain we were going to be able to do a fall play, but with the support of our administration and community, we were able to completely reimagine our process and create a production that turned our usual methods upside down. Our amazing student cast became actors, tech crew, editors, costumers, make-up, hairdressers, and anything else we needed them to be over night to help us create this amazing show! Could not be more proud of what they have accomplished! I have attached the cast list as well, so if you see these students, please congratulate them.
The show will be released at http://www.meteamusic.org/theater.html, at Metea Music & Theater , at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 20th! IT IS ABSOULETELY FREE! But, if you are feeling generous and would like to support our program with whatever you can spare, there will be a donation link in the description and available during intermission.
So, stay in Friday (seriously, where else are you going to go!?), order-in and support your favorite local small-business restaurant, sit-back, relax, and prepare to be thrilled because....
WAR OF THE WORLDS IS COMING!
