COAT AND BOOT DRIVE
Fall is the time of year to clean out our closets, and during the month of October, we are holding a district-wide winter coat and boot collection. Due to the growing need in our district we will be collecting new or gently used, clean coats of all sizes (infant through adult), in addition to other winter accessories (boots, hats, coats, scarves, snow pants, etc.). The items will be distributed to families in need within our district in early November.

Cowlishaw Elementary will be collecting clean, gently worn coats and boots from Monday October 17th through Monday October 31st. Please drop off by the main entrance of the school in the box(es) provided.
If you have any questions about the coat drive in your school, please contact Maria Murphy (mariamurphy@rocketmail.com) or Jodie Moreno (jodiemoreno@ymail.com)

PTA WELCOME COMMITTEE
We would like to welcome parents who are new to the school this year! The mission of the Welcome Committee is to help new families become familiar with the school, as well as the area communities.

Please join us at the first orientation program for new families scheduled on November 2, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the multi-purpose room. During the orientation, we will go over some school policies and general information that are detailed in the welcome packet along with question and answer session. You will also have a chance to meet other new families coming to school this year.

For those of you who are unable to attend the orientation, feel free to write to us at cowlishawpta.welcome@gmail.com. We have many bilingual Ambassadors who would love to help you with any questions related to school.
Have a fantastic year!
