The theme this year is "United Through Stories…What’s Yours?" and features 13 authors/illustrators! Naperville READS 2016 has an exceptional line-up, and students will be delighted to meet: Bethany Hegedus (Be the Change: A Grandfather Gandhi Story), Dean Robbins (Two Friends: Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass), Miranda Paul (Whose Hands are These?: A Community Helper Guessing Book), Tonya Bolden (Beautiful Moon), Matt de la Pena (Last Stop on Market Street), Kathryn Otoshi (Beautiful Hands), Ruth Chan (Mervin the Sloth is about to Do the Best Thing in the World), Christian Robinson (School’s First Day of School), Duncan Tonatiuh (The Princess and the Warrior: A Tale of Two Volcanoes), Selina Alko (The Case for Loving: The Fight for Interracial Marriage), E. B. Lewis (Preaching to the Chickens: The Story of Young John Lewis), W. Nikola-Lisa (Bein’ With You this Way), Sally Walker (Freedom Song: The Story of Henry “Box” Brown).
All Cowlishaw 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students will have the chance to meet Tonya Bolden and Duncan Tonatiuh on Thursday, December 8th. Students who wish to purchase any book/s may do so by returning the form below along with a check payable to Cowlishaw Elementary School.
In order to receive a personalized, signed copy of Tonya Bolden and Duncan Tonatiuh’s books, please return your order form to Cowlishaw LMC by Monday, December 5th.

Anderson's Bookshops will host an evening event on December 7th at Wentz Hall, 171 East Chicago Avenue, Naperville on the campus of North Central College. At 7 p.m., community members will get an opportunity to see the authors & illustrators and hear more about their books and their passion for children's literature. Books will be for sale, and autographing will follow the 7 p.m. event.
