Health Office Reminders

Reported by Kim_Stephens@ipsd.org on 2/28/17

Dear Builta Parents,

Cold and flu season is here!

When your child is ill, in an effort to promote a complete and quick recovery and to prevent spreading of illness to other students, please follow these guidelines:

Please keep your child home when:

Fever: Temperature greater than or equal to 100 degrees F. Resume school after temperature has returned to normal for 24 hours without the use of medication to control it.

Vomiting: Student may return after 24 hours without vomiting and is taking food again.

Diarrhea: Student may return after solid bowel movement or 24 hours of no diarrhea.

Rash: Any rash should be diagnosed by a physician with note of release to return to school.

When a student is absent with illness for five (5) days or more, a doctor's release to return to school is requested.

Parents know their children best, and we appreciate teaming with you to follow these guidelines so that students can perform at their best while at school.

Let's keep our students healthy and learning at their best!
