Reported by john_kelsey@ipsd.org on 4/20/17

On May 2nd, Hill Middle School 8th grade students will hosting a Climate Symposium which will include two climate scientists from Argonne National Laboratory, Laura Zamboni and Doug Sisterson, as well as student speakers. This comes as a culminating activity for Misty Tucker and Nancy Spring-Epley’s climate change inquiry unit. The 8th grade students at Hill are tackling one of the most important questions of their generation, “Is Human Activity the Cause of Global Climate Change.” Through this inquiry, students are exploring the data and evidence to be able to draw their own conclusions and form an educated opinion on the topic.
