Principal Update April 23, 2017
Reported by email@example.com on 4/23/17
We have a busy week coming up. Screening and registration for incoming Kindergarten students on Monday and our annual Spring Fling & Silent Auction on Friday. We hope to see many of you at these events!
Here is an update from Brookdale:
REGISTRATION FOR 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR
IPSD 204 has initiated a new process for proofing residency this school year. They have contracted with a third party who was able to verify residency for our families without extra paper copies. You should have received a letter in your mail indicating if your residency was verified or not. If verified, families will only need to update contact information and provide fees to register your child for the 2017-18 school year. If you are not-verified through this process, the letter will indicate what information we will need to register your child for the 2017-18 school year. Once you receive the letter and you have questions, feel free to contact us for more information.
Registration paperwork was sent home via backpacks on Thursday with all Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students.
BROOKDALE SPRING RUN CLUB
Every Wednesday and Friday (May 3 – May 26) from 8:20am to 9:00am Brookdale Elementary will sponsor arun club. Students will learn about the joy of running, log a mile or two, and burn some energy before heading to class.
To register for the Brookdale Spring Run Club, please register online at https://goo.gl/forms/V1VP8X8e60ZEXbON2.

A GREAT PARTNERSHIP WITH AAA - THE AUTO CLUB GROUP!
Thank you so much to AAA - The Auto Club Group and Charlene Sligting-Yorke for donating two new lighted stop signs for our crossing guards. In addition, they have donated ponchos and safety patrol sashes. We are excited for this partnership and hoping the new signs will help increase the safety of all of our students, staff and families.
