Dear Graham Families,
Thank you to the Graham PTA and all the generous parents who prepared or brought something in for our staff to enjoy. During our All Star Week we enjoyed a Tailgate Party with delicious chili and homemade soup. Tuesday, we had a day at the “ball park” with hot dogs and other delicious treats. Wednesday we enjoyed a slammin’ breakfast, Thursday, Pinwheels and Croissan’wiches. Friday was BBQ and it was good! It was a tremendous week and a phenomenal event for the staff! We appreciate being a part of this wonderful Graham Community.
If you were unable to attend the first Kane County Cougar’s game, this upcoming Monday will be another opportunity. Also next week, our future Falcons will be joining us for story time in the LMC on Wednesday. The last PTA Meeting of the year will be on Thursday at 9:30AM in the Multi-Purpose Room. We will have walk-in registration from 4 – 6PM on the 11th and the annual plant sale pick up will be on Friday, the 12th starting at 12PM. The PTA will have extra plants available for sale.
KIDS CAN RUN FOR TEAM IPEF
We are excited to share a great opportunity for students to stay active this summer and help raise money for our school. Sign-up today for the Naperville Kids Marathon, a unique fitness program that encourages students ages 5 to 13 to make healthy choices, set fitness goals and be part of running for a cause.
Students run 25 miles (one mile at a time) between May 1 and October 20 and track their miles. On October 21 they run the final 1.2 miles on a portion of the Naperville Half Marathon course, receiving a finisher medal and shirt.
Cost to participate is $44 and includes the $18 charity runner registration fee and a $26 tax deductible donation ($1 for each mile) toward Team IPEF efforts at our school. Registration is limited with space being filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information visit https://www.ipef204.org/kidsmarathon/
There are several items in the Lost and Found collection that are looking for ‘home’. If your child is missing an item, please feel free to come and look through the items. (We will be donating any unclaimed items after the school year is completed.)
Verification and registration for next year has already begun. What is the difference between verification and registration? Verification is an online process used to verify that all your information is current and up to date. Registration is the actual process of enrolling your child (ren) in school for the upcoming year.
The last date for walk-in registration is May 11th, 4 – 6PM. It is essential that we receive your registration during registration walk-in. Bringing your paperwork during the walk in registration period allows us to plan appropriately in a timely manner. It is important to register, so that you are able to go onto the Home Access Center when it opens up in August (Date TBD) to see your child’s classroom placement.
In order for the process to move smoothly please make sure you have completed the forms and the online verification. In addition, please be prepared to pay school fees with a check, cash or money order for the exact amount. You may pay online using MyPaymentsPlus, https://www.mypaymentsplus.com, if you prefer to use your credit card.
Reminders and Requests:
• We utilize the Raptor System to sign volunteers and other visitors into our building. Please remember to bring in your driver’s license, as you will be asked for it, if you are accessing the building where students are located. Thank you for your continued understanding and support of this safety measure.
• If you have garments that you are able to donate, we are in need of gently used elastic waist pants for boys and girls in the nurse’s office.
• When calling in your child’s attendance or late arrival, please call the absent line 630-428-6900, option 3.
• Please remember to include your child’s name and classroom teacher on a sticky note, when dropping off a forgotten item or bringing in lunch.
