Dear Longwood Families,
The district recently conducted water testing for lead in our school as required by a new state law passed in January 2017. Test results showed that one sink that is not used by students or staff and is located in room 148 tested at 11.5 parts per billion, which is above the state's new allowable level of 5 parts per billion. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's allowable level is 15 parts per billion.
As a result of the test results, the sink faucet will be replaced in the next two weeks.
Complete test results are available at the link below. For more information, visit the Environmental Protection Agency's website.
