The Washington Post’s recently released its annual rankings of how well the nation’s top high schools challenge their students. All three District 204 high schools made the list. The Washington Post ranked Metea Valley 748 in the nation, Neuqua Valley was ranked 863 in the nation and Waubonsie Valley was ranked 1,269 in the nation. Schools are ranked through an index formula that’s a simple ratio: the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at a school each year, divided by the number of seniors who graduated that year.
