Dear Graham Families,

The school year is winding down, but before the last bell there’s still lots of learning and fun activities planned. Please note the last day of school, June 2nd, is a full day of classes for elementary students. Report cards will be available after 4pm on the 7th.
On Tuesday, May 30 enjoy ‘good pizza for a great cause’ at MOD Pizza located at 2835 Showplace Dr. and then a refreshing treat at tcby Yogurt, located in very nearby, at2940 Showplace Dr. in Naperville. Enjoy some delicious frozen yogurt and help your school at the same time.

Cub Scout Pack 597 is collecting American flags for respectful disposal. Are you replacing your flag this Memorial Day? Please send any flags which require disposal to Graham, so our Pack can take care of it for you! Flags can be placed in the Collection Box in the Lobby through Wednesday May 31st!

Pack 597 is planning a fun-filled summer with events to keep the boys in touch over the break before kicking off a great new year in the fall. We are open for all boys from Kindergarten through 5th grade and would love to have your son join the pack.

Reminder for families who have medication at school: Per District protocol, all medications and/or medical supplies are to be picked up by parents on the last day of school, June 2nd. If unable to pick up on the last day call the health office (630 – 428 – 6904). On June 6th, all medication and/or supplies that are not picked up will be disposed of.

We are excited to share a great opportunity for students to stay active this summer and help raise money for our school. Sign-up today for the Naperville Kids Marathon, a unique fitness program that encourages students ages 5 to 13 to make healthy choices, set fitness goals and be part of running for a cause.

Students run 25 miles (one mile at a time) between May 1 and October 20 and track their miles. On October 21 they run the final 1.2 miles on a portion of the Naperville Half Marathon course, receiving a finisher medal and shirt.

Cost to participate is $44 and includes the $18 charity runner registration fee and a $26 tax deductible donation ($1 for each mile) toward Team IPEF efforts at our school. Registration is limited with space being filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are several items in the Lost and Found collection that are looking for ‘home’. If your child is missing an item, please feel free to come and look through the items. (We will be donating any unclaimed items after the school year is completed.)

Reminders and Requests:
• We utilize the Raptor System to sign volunteers and other visitors into our building. Please remember to bring in your driver’s license, as you will be asked for it, if you are accessing the building where students are located. Thank you for your continued understanding and support of this safety measure.
• If you have garments that you are able to donate, we are in need of gently used elastic waist pants for boys and girls in the nurse’s office.
• When calling in your child’s attendance or late arrival, please call the absent line 630-428-6900, option 3.
• Please remember to include your child’s name and classroom teacher on a sticky note, when dropping off a forgotten item or bringing in lunch.
