Principal Message 9/18/17

Reported by on 9/16/17

Dear Brooks Families,

A huge thank you to all our families who attended Curriculum Night. I hope this provided valuable information regarding curriculum and instruction and a snapshot into your child’s day.

A SHOUT OUT to Keeley Schmid for organizing Movie Night Mania! Mrs. Schmid’s passion and enthusiasm made for a great night for our families. Thank you to Team Brooks and all the volunteers who made this night possible. All proceeds go to the Team Brooks IPEF Fund!

Must Read:

Why: To raise money for the victims of the hurricanes.

When: The challenge will begin on Monday, September 18 end on Friday, September 29.

Rules: Brooks School is being challenged to raise as much money as possible for the victims of the recent hurricanes with pennies and any other change that might be found at home. Look under the couch cushions, in the car, in the washing machine or anywhere that you think spare change might be hiding. Change will be collected in classroom jars to create a total for the school. After two weeks, the jars will be counted. Good Luck!!

Goal: Students need to bring in A LOT of change and put the change into their own classroom’s jar. Our goal as a school is to raise as much money as we can to help the victims of the hurricanes.

Outcome: We hope that this fundraiser will create awareness and teach a valuable lesson for our students about kids helping others. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.

PARCC Results:

On Friday, September 15, students in grades 4 and 5 brought home a copy of their PARCC results from spring, 2017. Please check your child’s backpack if you have not seen those results.
