Walk-to-School Day, Oct. 6

Reported by Kim_Stephens@ipsd.org on 9/27/17

Builta’s PTA is inviting ALL families to walk or bike to school on 10/6/17. Join students, teachers, school leaders, and community partners around the country to celebrate the health and social benefits of walking to school during International Walk to School Week.

A map attached below has (4) starred intersections near Builta. Each intersection will
have a community member high-fiving your child as they walk or ride their bike. Once students arrive at school, they’ll enter the building as they typically do to get their day started.

Bussed students should continue to ride the bus and not walk to school for safety reasons. Crossing busy roads is not recommended and we want all of our Badgers arriving safely! Every bus rider can participate in this celebration once safely at school.

Students should be sure to cross Apple Valley Road where there is a crossing guard. Crossing Guards are located at Apple Valley Road and:

Jonathan Way
Periwinkle
Woodlet

Remember, students need to arrive at Builta between 8:50-9:00, so please give your child enough time to enjoy this great activity. THANK YOU for your participation!!!
