The Fall Party is Friday, October 20th. All the grade level party planning has been done. Volunteers who have signed up for the party are required to arrive by 2:15pm. The parties will be from 2:30-3:15 pm.

The classroom parties are fun for all the kids and it takes several volunteers to make it happen! The party is a week away and we are still in need if parent volunteers for the following classrooms:

Mrs. Sander –1st grade
Mrs. Goodwin – 3rd grade
Mr. Lopez – 4th grade
Ms. Brown – 5th grade

We still need several volunteers to be able to run this party. We take all volunteers including parents, grandparents, and older siblings. You can volunteer by following the steps below:

You are invited to a weekend of holiday shopping from October 25th-29th (Wednesday through Sunday) at Learning Express Toys Of Naperville (Rt 59 and 95th Street – Next to Jewel). 10% of the proceeds will be donated to our PTA and you will also receive a 10% discount! Fall is the time of year to clean out our closets, and during the month of October, we are holding a district-wide winter coat and boot collection. Due to the growing need in our district we will be collecting new or gently used, clean coats of all sizes (infant through adult), in addition to other winter accessories (boots, hats, coats, scarves, snow pants, etc.). The items will be distributed to families in need within our district in early November.

Cowlishaw Elementary will be collecting clean, gently worn coats and boots from Monday October 16th through Monday October 30th. Please drop off by the main entrance of the school in the box(es) provided.

Mark your calendars for our annual Donuts with Dads event November 3rd from 8:00-8:45! Please return the RSVPs to your child’s teacher so we can plan accordingly.

THANK YOU to all who have already sold or donated!! We are HALFWAY to our $12,000 goal! Remember the PTA will use this money to fund field trips, assemblies, classroom parties, and all our other great programs and events! To reach this goal, we are encouraging ALL Cowlishaw families to contribute any amount they are able (suggested amount $30 cash/check). Donations must be received by October 31st to be eligible for the prizes!! PLEASE write your student’s name and grade on the form or envelope to help us know where to deliver prizes. Our Fall Box Tops Collection is happening NOW!! Check all of your pantry and cleaning items, and give those box tops a quick clip!

Please remember to mark the envelope or plastic bags with your child’s classroom. October 20th is last day to submit for the classroom contest— the classroom with the most clipped box tops will receive a prize!
