Harvest Party and Parade Procedures

Reported by rachel_witkowski@ipsd.org on 10/26/17

PROCEDURES AND PARADE DETAILS FOR THIS YEAR:|

CLASSROOM PARTY VOLUNTEERS:
Your name must be on the SignUp Genius volunteer list to attend the party. Only the party volunteers on the list will be allowed in the school during the party. Please enter Door #2 when you arrive to get your badge.

For the HARVEST PARTY ONLY:
o Please serve snacks at the end of the party to allow sufficient time for clean up
o Aim to have your party end at 3:00 to allow the parade to start on time at 3:15
o Please help classroom teachers clean up party supplies before you leave for the parade

Classroom Party volunteers who leave the building to watch the parade outside will not be allowed back into the building. If you leave to watch the parade outdoors, please bring all your belongings with you.

There will be an indoor opportunity for volunteers that remain in the building to see the parade inside. All classes will parade around the gymnasium for party volunteers who decide to remain indoors.

PARENTS ATTENDING ONLY THE PARADE:
The parade route will take place behind the school around the basketball court. We invite parents to watch the parade from the center of the basketball court to get the best view of all our classes as they go by! Please see the attached map of parade route.

All students will return to their classrooms after the parade and will be dismissed from their classes at the regular time. Please do not pick up your child from the parade route.

Please notify your classroom teacher and the office of any changes to your child's pick-up PRIOR to the party. If you are picking up your child from school, please arrange a meeting spot with your child ahead of time -- parents will not be allowed into the building to pick up their children.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

We are doing our best to keep our students safe and adhere to district policies while keeping our parade tradition!
