Changes in Afternoon Pick-up Procedures
Reported by firstname.lastname@example.org on 11/21/17
Greetings Scullen Families,
We have been in contact with the Naperville Police Department in an effort to create a safer dismissal procedure for our students and staff. A concern that the NPD shares with us is that Mistflower Lane often increases to 4 lanes of traffic between 3:00 and 3:30. This is quite unsafe for our students crossing the street as well as the staff members directing traffic. In order to fix this problem, beginning on Monday, November 27 between the time frame of 3:00 and 3:30, vehicles will no longer be able to surpass the line of cars turning left and right into the driveway in order to meet their children in the parking lot. Parents wanting to pick up students in the parking lot, need to be there prior to 3:00 PM, otherwise they will have to wait in line. Please note that vehicles that are waiting for students in the parking lot should utilize the empty parking spaces in the back of the lot. Cars should not park in handicapped spaces or block parked vehicles from exiting the lot.
Please understand that while these changes may differ from what you're accustomed to, they are necessary to ensure the safety of our students. I have attached an aerial map for further clarification.
