International Day Presenters Needed

Reported by jennifer_albert@ipsd.org on 1/17/18

On May 1st, 2018, the 7th-grade teachers and PTSA will be co-hosting our Culture Day with this year's theme "Digging Up your Roots." The seventh-grade students will be attending presentations and performances throughout the school day as it ties to our Geography curriculum. The evening portion will be open to all students and their families to attend.

In order to give the students an engaging learning opportunity, we need YOU to volunteer or recommend someone (or a group) to present or perform for a small portion of the day. This isn't limited to solely seventh-grade parents. During the school day, the presentations will be done in front of a small group to a class size worth of kids. The content of the presentation could be anything that would be great for the students to learn about culture. We are very fortunate to have families of all backgrounds in our community and we are hoping to have a variety of cultures represented across all of our presentations. It could be anything from sharing pictures and videos from a trip to a foreign land to a musical/dance performance to an interactive activity planned for the kids.
