1. Hosting a table: You/your group can prepare a poster/tri-fold with details of map, flag, currency, music, language etc. for the country (it can be any country- not necessarily where you may be from) you plan to represent. Kids/parents have an option to dress up in traditional clothes also. You can also share small art project related to the country you decide to represent.

2. Perform: Perform a traditional dance, play instruments, martial arts routine or you can teach a dance too! Performance can be a solo or in a group.

3. Bring your favorite food/beverage to share: Food/ beverages that can stay at room temperature. (No peanuts please!)

Please read the attached flyer and registration form for more detailed information. Copies of those will go in the backpack mail by end of this week. Volunteer Sign up is coming soon!

Plunge into Fitness

It's not too late to Plunge into Fitness. All students who complete and return a fitness log will earn a free June admission pass to Raging Waves or a discounted admission coupon for the rest of the summer. Any activity that increases the heart rate can counts towards the fitness log. Fitness Logs are available on the Spring Brook website or your child can ask their teacher for one. All Fitness Logs are due back by Tuesday, April 10. No late fitness logs can be accepted after Thursday, April 12.

Spring Fling Thanks!

The Spring Fling committee and PTA would like to send out a huge thank you to all of the parent and student volunteers, Spring Brook and custodial staff that helped to make the event a huge success for all of our students.

This event takes many months to plan and lots of volunteers for it all to come together. We appreciate everyone that helped, especially so many teachers that stayed all night. A huge thank you to the wonderful custodial staff that worked late hours to have the school ready for learning today.

Thank you to all the parents that made donations to this event! We hope that your students had a great time!

PTA Meeting

Our next PTA Meeting is Thursday, March 22 at 9:30 AM in the lunch room. We hope you can join us and as always, children are welcome!

Engage 204 on March 20

The community is invited to attend Engage 204 from 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, March 20 at Still Middle School, 787 Meadowridge Drive, Aurora. This session will focus on the district's budget.

Previous sessions have looked at academic programs, demographics, and facilities. Some of the topics discussed by presenters and attendees have included class sizes, teacher pay, mental health support, facility use, and maintenance projects. At this session, presenters will discuss the cost of some of the ideas and attendees will be asked to prioritize the ideas. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to provide feedback on how to financially support the ideas considering the district's limited resources.

Engage 204 is a collaborative process between the community and District 204. Key to the success of this process is the collaboration and discussion between participants. District residents who attend will have the unique opportunity to share ideas and discuss topics in small groups in order to provide feedback to the Board of Education. Findings and recommendations will be presented to the Board of Education in July 2018. All District 204 residents are invited to participate in Engage 204.

RSVP is appreciated, but not required at RSVP. For more information, visit Engage 204.

Third-Party Educational Programs

The following companies have rented space in our schools to offer an after-school educational program for students. The distribution of this material is in no way an endorsement of programs, services, activities or products by District 204. For more information about the programs listed below, visit:
