Parents of High School Students:
As the school year winds down, teens gather with friends to celebrate around prom and graduation. With summer, comes cookouts and bonfires. While parents are happy to see their student having fun, hosting parties and attending parties can introduce some concerns. Have you had a conversation about underage drinking recently? This month’s newsletter has tips for talking with teens about planning to celebrate safely, including links to ordinances and laws around curfew, driving, underage possession, and more. Sharing this information with teens can be powerful, reminding them that you care and expect them to keep making healthy choices.
The Power of Choice is a collaborative project led by 360 Youth Services in District 203 and 204 middle and high schools growing the number of students making healthy choices regarding substance use.
