1:1 Devices to Enhance Instruction
Reported by firstname.lastname@example.org on 5/17/18
1:1 Devices to Enhance Instruction - Over the course of the last several years, District 204 has embarked on a 1:1 initiative to provide Chromebook devices to students to support learning and instruction. Students at the middle school began the initiative during the 16-17 school year. High schools began this year with the initiative while the elementary building participated in a pilot. The 18-19 school year is now elementary’s opportunity. Our current 5th grade students had the opportunity to use a device this school year. Next year, students in grades 2-5 will use a Chromebook as a tool to support their learning, as well. We look forward to engaging in conversations with our parents regarding how this technology resource can enhance your child’s learning. Prior to students receiving the device in the fall, we will provide parents with an opportunity to learn more about the 1:1 initiative. At Clow School, we plan to host parent informational meetings on Thursday, August 30th. We will provide a daytime meeting and an evening meeting on that day. Please mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information at the start of the school year regarding these informational meetings.
