2018-2019 Course Verification
Reported by email@example.com on 5/17/18
Dear Wildcat Families,
It is that time of year for students in the Class of 2019, 2020 and 2021 to review their course requests for 2018-2019 school year.
Class of 2019, 2020 and 2021: The Request Tab in HAC will be turned on at 8 am this Saturday (5/19) for your review. Use the schedule link and scroll to bottom of page. You will be able to view the courses your student will take next year - it is not your student’s daily schedule. The finalized schedule will be viewable in mid-August through HAC.
Class of 2022: The middle schools will distribute a paper copy for your review later this week. The high school request link is not available in your HAC. The paper copy will provide the courses your student will take next year - it is not your student’s daily schedule. The finalized schedule will be viewable in mid-August through HAC and distributed at Freshman Wildcat Welcome, August 7th.
Important Information regarding Course review:
• ERROR – If there is an error in your course requests: (e.g. should have Physics but have Biology) contact your counselor immediately.
• ELECTIVE COURSE CHANGE REQUEST – Requests may be submitted the week of May 21 – May 25. This is a firm deadline. Submitted change requests will be processed on a seat available basis. Instructions are located on this link: https://nvhsguidance.weebly.com/
• Level placements in core classes were completed on January 31st and will not be part of the change request process at NV. Please contact the appropriate department chair if there is a need to discuss a level placement in a core course if there has been a change in your student's life that might impact her or his academic journey.
Please be aware that several elements affect course availability. New enrollments, schedule changes due to summer school coursework and course balancing for reasonable class sizes are some of the factors that must be taken into account. Our goal is to have each of our students in the classes they requested for next year! Any questions, contact your assigned Class House.
