1 Last Day of School – Full day for elementary students
5th Grade Send off 3:25

Dear Graham Families,

It’s hard to believe we are in the last few days of school! We had a wonderful Field Day. The weather was very warm, but beautiful! Thank you Mr. Cooper, the PTA and all the volunteers for an awesome job! The students had a great day. ——

While this is a joyous time of the year, it is also bittersweet. This year we are saying goodbye to Mrs. Marianne Conkey who is retiring after 17 years as a teacher at Graham Elementary. Mrs. Conkey taught several grade levels during her time at Graham and has impacted countless students’ lives. We will miss her, but wish her “Happy Trails” as she begins a new journey called retirement.

On Friday, June 1st parents are invited to join us at 3:25 to send our 5th graders off in style. Parents and their guests may gather along the sidewalk at the back of our building to view the 5th graders as they leave Graham. We will send out a more detailed map next week.

Please remember the last day of school is Friday, June 1st and it is a full day of classes. If you are returning to Graham in August, please make sure you have completed online verification and registration. We cannot add your student to a class list until both of these things are completed. Thank you to the many families who have completed their online verification and sent in their registration paperwork.

Report Cards will be available in the Home Access Center on June 5th at noon.
Please be advised this summer Graham will be getting a new roof over the flat portion of the building. The office staff will be relocating to Crone Middle School for several weeks during the summer. We will officially post the dates we will be at Crone, as soon as they are finalized. Our office hours will be 8 – 3PM Monday – Thursday beginning June 18th. The school district is closed on Fridays during the Summer Break.

Parent Input Form 2018-19
Please see the attached letter and form if you would like to share information with me regarding your student’s placement for next year. Please remember we will not be able to honor specific teacher requests, nor consider social factors, such as a best friend or the amount of friends your child will have in the new classroom.

Reminders and Requests:
• Please note the last day of school, June 1st, is a full day of classes for elementary students.
• When calling in your child’s attendance or late arrival, please call the absent line 630-428-6900, option 3.
• Please remember to include your child’s name and classroom teacher on a sticky note, when dropping off a forgotten item or bringing in lunch.
• There are several items in the Lost and Found collection that are looking for ‘home’. If your child is missing an item, please feel free to come and look through the items. (We will be donating any unclaimed items after the school year is completed.)

If you have any questions, or concerns please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Sincerely,
Ms. Walton
