Final PTA News 5-30-18

Dear Bulldog Families,

This is the final PTA News of the 2017-2018 school year. A big thank you to all the amazing volunteers that helped with the many PTA events and programs throughout the year. This included everyone who donated to concession sales and volunteered for Teacher Appreciation, Red Ribbon Week, Coat Drive, Blanket Drive, Students of Distinction, LMC, Bulldog Bash, School Supply Kit Sales, Reflections, Restaurant Nights, IM@Still, Raffle, and Box Tops. Thank you to all the members of the PTA Board who helped organize activities and volunteers and helped to administer Teacher Grants. Thank you to all of our PTA teachers and parent members for joining and continuing to help us serve the amazing Still Middle School community!

Income: Here is a summary of what we made. The IM@Still fundraiser along with Restaurant Nights, Raffle, Bulldog Bash Concessions, Membership dues and donations, and school supply kits yielded the PTA approximately $16,000, which allowed us to do some wonderful things this year!

Expenses: We were able to provide the school with about $6,000 for Grade Level and other student programs. We spent $4,000 on Still Gives, a great program that helps Still families struggling during the holiday season and beyond. We spent about $1,600 on teacher grants to help purchase specialized art equipment, applied technology equipment, pay for awesome science speakers, and enhance some classrooms with a specialized library of books. We spent about $2,500 on staff appreciation, including teacher appreciation week, administrative assistant’s day, and staff meals certain days of the year. We also spent money on required expenses such as dues to the IL PTA, the Indian Prairie Parents Council (IPPC), insurance and taxes. Finally, we end the year in good standing to be able to start the next school year!
