Free Teen Driving Program

Reported by webmaster@ipsd.org on 6/8/18

Ford Driving Skills for Life, hosted by the Ford Motor Company Fund and Governors Highway Safety Association, is a hands-on training program for newly licensed teens and permit holders that picks up where traditional drivers education programs end. Now in its 15th year, the half-day training program puts teens behind the wheel with professional drivers to learn critical safe driving skills, including hazard recognition, speed and space management, vehicle handling, and the dangers of impaired and distracted driving on safe, closed courses. The training addresses the two leading causes of teen vehicle crashes and deaths: inexperience and distracted/impaired driving, and includes a module for parents of teen drivers.
