New Faces at Brooks We are very fortunate to have engaged in a partnership with North Central College this year. Our partnership has provided us with 28 pre-service teachers (meaning that they are students preparing to student-teach) who have been placed in each of our K-5 classrooms. The North Central College students assisted us greatly with our fall benchmarking (reading assessments) and are now working with our students primarily during our blocks of literacy instruction in the classroom. If your child comes home talking about college students, this program is likely what they are attempting to explain. The North Central College students are a welcome addition in our classrooms this school year and we’re glad to have them! |
