District 204 Launches New Communications Tool --
Improves Emergency Communication and Parent Outreach
Indian Prairie School District 204 officials announced the launch of the Connect-ED communication service, which gives administrators the ability to reach all parents and staff with time-sensitive information in a matter of minutes.
"We recognize the important role that immediate communication plays in safety as well as ongoing parent outreach," said Stephen Daeschner, Superintendent. "This system gives us a critical tool to keep parents and staff informed in a matter of minutes."
The Connect-ED service enables the school district to send personalized voice messages to multiple phone numbers per person in a matter of minutes. The California-based company is the leader in time-sensitive notification services for school districts, with the capability of delivering up to 3 million calls an hour.
District 204 plans to use the system to inform parents and staff of emergencies, such as school closures due to inclement weather. But more importantly, the system will be used regularly by principals for ongoing parent outreach.
