All 3rd grade students at McCarty recently went on a field trip to Waubonsie Valley High School to see a presentation from author Dan Gutman. This was a great opportunity for the students to hear from a popular children's author about his life and becoming an author. The most amazing thing was that Mr. Gutman preferred sports to books when he was in school. Mr. Gutman writes several popular children's book series including My Weird School and the Baseball Card Adventures. You can visit his website at http://www.dangutman.com/. |
