A big Grizzly hello and welcome to Granger Middle School! For those of you new to the Granger community, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Lynda Moresco. I have been an active PTSA member and volunteer at Granger for the past five years. I have served as a PTSA committee volunteer, Chair, and for the past two years, the PTSA’s Vice-President. As I enter my final year at Granger, my son Christian will be in the eighth grade, I am honored to serve as your PTSA President. This year, we are welcoming three schools to the Granger family; Brooks, Longwood, and Young. I would like to invite you to become a member of the PTSA. We have many exciting and rewarding volunteer opportunities available to our parents. Membership and Volunteer forms were included in you Granger Registration packet. We hope that you will take the time to join the PTSA and volunteer, there are many ways to contribute. Don’t be a name without a face- come and be visible! All forms are also included in this Newsletter and can be downloaded from the Granger webpage at any time throughout the school year. Remember, it is NEVER too late to join in! We hope that you will consider getting involved and taking an active role in your child’s Middle School experience. Finally, mark August 11th on your calendars. The PTSA’s School Supply Pick Up and the Sixth Grade Ice Cream Social will take place at Granger between 1&4 pm on this date. In addition, many thanks to Amy Coryell, our new Newsletter Chair, for taking over the responsibility of getting this newsletter out to all of our families during the summer months. On behalf of my executive committee; Mary Moy, 1st Vice-President; Dina Z. Lohman, 2nd Vice-President; R.K. Karumuri, Treasurer; Joanne Jachimiec, Secretary, we hope that all of you have a relaxing and safe rest of the summer because “ready or not”, August 20th will be here before you know it!
