| Bus Strike Student Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures | ||

As you know, the bus drivers may strike at anytime. In an effort to be proactive, Hill Middle School has developed some alternative plans with regards to pick-up and drop-procedures. Your students may be dropped off 45 minutes before school starts and they may stay 45 minutes after school and they will be supervised. Please inform your students ahead of time if you expect them to stay after school. If you drop them off in the morning between 7:00-7:25 they will be allowed to enter the building and work in the LMC until 7:52. If there is a strike, we are expecting heavy traffice in both the morning and the afternoon. I have attached a map on the website that has Hill's traffic flow pattern in the event of a strike. Please know that during both the morning and afternoon, it will be a slow process. Attached is a traffic flow pattern map that will show parents the way to enter and leave when dropping off your children. For dismissal time, parents may begin picking their kids up at 2:30. The same traffic flow pattern for the morning drop off will apply for the afternoon. All parents need to have the names of the students they will be picking up on taped to the driverside window so we can call the students out. If you are picking up kids that are not your own, you need to call the office and let the office know who will be picking up your kids. You may also email the office with this information. A connect ed phone call will also come home tonight with this information on it. Again, please be patient with us while we work through this, I can't reiterate enough that the pick up and drop off times will be a slow process. I promise you we are going to do our best.
