October 23, 2009 Dear Kendall Parents: In the event of a bus strike: Kendall will keep their regular drop off and pick up procedures in place. Front and side car lines will remain in place. Walking to school is certainly encouraged to reduce traffic in the school area. If you are unable to make arrangements for your child to arrive and or leave school at the usual times (8:50 am and 3:35 pm), we will provide supervision inside school beginning at 8:15 am and ending at 4:20 pm. Detailed Plan: 1.Students will be dismissed from their classrooms to their dismissal locations as normal. 2.Walkers and daycare will be dismissed from their classrooms as normal. They will be on their way. 3.Staff will lead out our front/side car students at regular dismissal time as normal (3:35 pm). Those students and families will be on their way. 4.Those students who are not picked up will remain with staff and re-enter the building. 5.Staff will remain outside at front and side until 4:15 pm and radio names into our school for children to be called to their vehicles. Please assist us in having names of children in your passenger windshield. 6.At 4:15 pm remaining students will need to be picked up in the office. 7.All after school programs will remain with regular pick up procedures. If your child’s dismissal plan changes in any way, please use the form below and return it to your child’s teacher. We ask for your patience if this process is implemented.
