These awards are given to administrators, staff members, and parent volunteers who have gone beyond the call of duty to ensure that all students have equal access to educational excellence.
Saily Joshi Award for Equity - in homage to the indelible impact of Saily’s service and advocacy, given to a parent who has diligently worked to ensure that all students have equitable access to educational excellence in IPSD 204.

Kathy Pease Award - named in honor of past Assistant Superintendent Kathy Pease, who always went beyond expectations to support staff and administration, as well as parents, in their roles advocating for equity in 204.

The Parent Diversity
Advisory Council facilitates monthly discussions to promote collaboration
amongst parents and district staff to address equity and diversity. We share
best practices in order to improve experiences and opportunities for all
students. The meetings are open to District 204 parents, staff, and community.
PDAC was founded in 2002, as a result of a parent forum held by the school
district with parents and staff members in relation to diversity issues.
PDAC & IPPC
As of the 2021-2022 school year, PDAC became a Standing Committee of Indian Prairie Parents Council (IPPC), which is the umbrella organization for all the PTA and PTSA units in IPSD204 and shares the same goals as the Illinois PTA and National PTA.
