2026 Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (Summer EBT)

Summer EBT is a federally funded program that provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. The Illinois Department of Human Services administers Summer EBT with assistance from the Illinois State Board of Education. Households should contact IDHS for questions about benefit issuance, including lost or stolen cards.

ATTENTION PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND RECIPIENTS: Contact the Illinois Department of Human Services at (833) 621-0737 or use the Contact IDHS Form for assistance. Additional information, including common questions and answers are available on the IDHS: Summer EBT webpage.
