U.S. News Best High Schools Ranking 2021

U.S. News & World Report released its ranking of the 2021 Best High Schools after reviewing comprehensive data from nearly 18,000 public schools, including 711 in Illinois. All three District 204 high schools were ranked in the top 6 percent of high schools in the nation.

Neuqua Valley ranked 421 in the nation and 20 in the state, Metea Valley was 566 in the nation and 26 in the state, and Waubonsie Valley ranked 1,146 in the nation and 49 in the state.

According to U.S. News, the highest-ranked schools are those whose students excelled on state tests and performed beyond expectations, participated in and passed a variety of college-level Advanced Placement exams, and graduated in high proportions.
