Sign up for the Cougars Reading Program with the Kane County Cougars!

Reported by on 2/4/22

The Kane County Cougars have worked with Owen for many years to promote reading for all students. We are doing the Cougars Reading Program this year for all K-5 students. It begins on 1/31/22 and ends on 3/27/22. It lasts for eight weeks and is divided into four-two week segments (bases). Students must read 200 minutes (or 100 minutes/week) to meet the reading goal. At the end of the program, students will turn in their reading logs (on or before April 8th) and they will receive the following prizes:

* Bookmark
* Free Game Ticket
* Drawstring bag (given at the game)
* Hot dog and drink (given at the game)

Friday, May 27th at 6:30 is Owen Attendance Day. We will have a block of tickets purchased so families can sit by other Owen families at the game! The wonderful Owen Chorus will be singing the National Anthem along with choruses from Kendall and Patterson. Also, a teacher will be throwing out the first pitch!
